Had some spare time today and i thought i would play around with some old footage i found. Not the best editing but am quite pleased with the results. Here is a montage of some of the fun times i’ve had with my closest friends. Take a look!

My Currently Active WordPress Plugins: RATED

WordPressAfter some thought on whether i should utilise my MobileMe web space (formerly .Mac), i have decided to go ahead and host my own website. raiiner Blog is running WordPress, “a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability”. I am very new to WordPress having downloaded and installed the package a little while after the release of version 2.6 and i don’t know why i didn’t consider this sooner.

Some of the features are:

No Comment // Written on Jul 19, 2008 // wordpress

A very useful plugin, Adsense-Deluxe WordPress Plugin, which i found through Lorelles list of favourite WordPress Plugins is an absolute treasure! I am unable to continue testing it just yet as Google AdSense’s “website is temporarily unavailable”.

If you are like me and have been constantly searching for WordPress plugins then look no further than Lorelle’s list of blogger’s list of recommended or favourite plugins! Glad someone has done most of the hardwork although i’m still trying to find ones that i need from the list. Few more days and i think i’ll be able to compile my top list of plugins.

Tweaking the Design of Raiiner.com

Photoshop was never my forte — I was always the Illustrator type of guy. Never really understood why but after spending the entire day today amending PSD files for this theme I’m actually enjoying it. Maybe i was actually listening during all those tutorial classes because i remembered quite a bit and even some tricks.

CS2 is turning out to be a great investment. Actually, i didn’t invest anything for CS2 but its still a great tool. Played around with Pixelmator but i just wasn’t accustomed to the shortcuts and menus. Ended up taking up too much time trying to navigate and find out where what is.

Ecto - The First Impression

1 Comment // Written on Jul 17, 2008 // apple, applications

After browsing through iusethis, i stumbled across Ecto - desktop blogging application for macs. Thought i’d have a quick look-see at the application to see its capabilities. I did notice another application, MarsEdit, which i will add on to the to-do list.

Meanwhile, i’ve only just set-up my account and Ecto imported my weblogs with no problem - yay! All my other post seem to look okay (although they weren’t anything fancy). The one post that had an image on it shows up exactly how it appears online.

Post Post!

Day is nearly gone and i haven’t done 1 thing that i had planned to do today. Resume remains unsent and i remain… jobless. That reminds me, i was supposed to do some reading for my Marketing course… oops!

Forgot how fast time flies when you’re sitting on your bum “researching” and spending time playing around with WordPress.

Second Time Around

No Comment // Written on Jul 16, 2008 // Personal

Just to test out how this blog gets published, better make a decent sounding post!

Wow! Took me (the nub) a while to set this up but finally managed to get everything in working order (i hope!). Please take not that i’m not a pro-designer, pro-blogger and i’m merely doing this out of boredom and interest. I am more than happy to take any  advice and/or constructive criticisms you may have :)

After some considerable amount of time spent searching for a WordPress theme, i settled (yes, settled) for a theme called “Resurrection” by Yichi. Closest theme i could find to a great theme and he certainly has a small, yet fantastic selection.

Going to spend some time tweaking the theme and hopefully will have a result that i’m happy with.

Til’ then!
